She Does the City is absolutely thrilled to sponsor Pioneering Women’s event on April 1st with Janet Kestin and Nancy Vonk: the creative brains behind Dove® Campaign for Real Beauty and co-authors of Darling, You Can’t Do Both & Other Noise To Ignore on The Way Up.
Pioneering Women was built by women in the motion picture industry, but their thought-provoking events are open to all professional women in Toronto. Each year, they host an evening talk + Q&A with inspiring female leaders at the top of their game. Brilliant, passionate and game-changing: Kestin and Vonk are former chief creative officers at Ogilvy in Toronto, and their work with the Dove® brand has not only received international award-winning acclaim within the world of advertising, but has touched millions of women in a positive and poignant way. They’ve transformed the way that brands speak to women.
Darling you Can’t Do Both tells the story of how they made it to the top, raised children, and carved their own path in a fast-paced industry that wasn’t built to accommodate mothers. They did it their own way and learned how to create a professional life that suited life. What we love most about this book is how down-to-earth their thinking is, and how adaptable their career tips are. While their story is set in the world of advertising, it is relatable to all women.
Jen McNeely, editor-in-chief of She Does the City, will be leading a Q&A. All guests will receive a copy of Darling, You Can’t Do Both. Think up some questions and join us for an evening that will provide stimulating thought and excellent advice–for both career and life.
