This clip of Welsh comedian Nadia Kamil‘s smart-yet-silly take on classic burlesque is basically perfect. Look at her go! Pubes ARE normal! I want to buy nipple tassels for my degree! How many wrap dresses can one woman own!

There are a lot of conflicting opinions on burlesque out there, but wherever you fall on the “Is this feminist?” spectrum re: sparkly butts on show, the thing that’s to be admired here is the process. Confronted by something that makes you uncomfortable, as a woman or a human? Think about why! Mull it over and figure out what you really dislike or object to! Then find a smart, preferably hilarious way of recontextualizing that thing for yourself and for a bunch of sleepy women working from home on a Wednesday. Keep it up, Kamil.
