The dreariness of November is upon us, but that’s no reason to stay inside. Xpace Cultural Centre’s November Exhibitions Opening Reception is coming up, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store!
In the main space, you’ll experience Installation as a Subversive Art. Curated by Katie Kotler, this exhibit will explore how installation art can translate the magic occurring from films sets into the gallery setting. In the window space, look for JG’s Subversive Landscapes: pictorial works that express keen deference for a fringe beauty standard. Finally in the project space, revel at Jamiyla Lowe’s civilizations eking out an existence in their own nightmarish fantasy worlds.
The opening runs this Friday November 3rd from 7 to 10 p.m. at Xpace (303 Lansdowne Ave., Unit 2). Snacks, drinks and artists will be in attendance.
