Join us this Saturday at TIFF Bell Lightbox for a rollicking, no-holds-barred Just For Laughs panel discussion with Catherine Reitman, Dani Kind and Juno Rinaldi. We’ll be discussing what it’s really like to be a working mom, and how that daily inspiration feeds into the writing room of the CBC comedy hit Workin’ Moms. (Side note: All moms are working moms, because being a mom is like four jobs in one.)
As a mom, and a loyal Workin’ Moms viewer, I am THRILLED to moderate this special JFL event to chat about the real-life hilariousness, and are-you-kidding-me challenges that come with motherhood. From dealing with baby diarrhea on an overnight flight, to a very tense moment in a toddler song group, I have my fair share of ridiculous anecdotes that I feel could be scenes on this show, and I look forward to chatting with creator/star Catherine Reitman (Kate), and cast members Dani King (Anne) and Juno Rinaldi (Frankie) about their behind-the-scenes life as real moms, how that shapes what they bring to their characters, and how they really feel about the non-stop juggling act, mom guilt, fractured identity, career navigating, travelling with kids etc. We’re GONNA TALK ABOUT IT ALL!
Workin’ Moms: Inside the CBC Hit is taking place Saturday, September 22 at TIFF Bell Lightbox. For tickets, click here.
