The film we’ve all been waiting for is finally here! We’ve seen it, and can assure you that it’s not only every bit as magical as we’d hoped it would be, but it exceeds our expectations (and we had BIG expectations).

For over fifty years, Judy Blume’s groundbreaking novel Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret. has impacted millions upon millions with its timeless coming-of-age story, insightful humour, and candid exploration of life’s biggest questions. In Lionsgate’s big-screen adaptation, 11-year-old Margaret (Abby Ryder Fortson) is uprooted from her life in New York City for the suburbs of New Jersey, going through the messy and tumultuous throes of puberty with new friends in a new school. She relies on her mother, Barbara, (Rachel McAdams), who is struggling to adjust to life outside the big city, and her adoring grandmother, Sylvia (Kathy Bates), who isn’t happy they moved away and likes to remind them every chance she gets.

Director Kelly Fremon Craig has done a brilliant job adapting Blume’s all-time classic, and the roles have all been so well cast (you’ll know exactly what we mean once you see it). This is a story that speaks to many generations, and a film that will be adored by people of all ages.
