We may be a little late to the party as National Tattoo Day was on July 17th (side note: how did we miss this, we LOVE tattoos ‘round here), but we’re still stoked about the latest collab from Vintage Ink.

Bodacious red wine with gorgeous labels featuring original artwork inspired by a real-life tattoo? This might actually be the coolest thing to happen to wine, like ever.

How did these new labels come about? Back in 2015, Vintage Ink launched a unique contest urging tattoo artists and lovers alike to showcase their favourite tattoos online. The win and bragging rights went to visual artist turned tattoo artist Spencer Harrington (you can follow him @harringtontattoo) who customized a ship-in-a-bottle tattoo on his pal, Crispin Day.

Now onto the wine! Vintage Ink Merlot Cabernet offers violet, plum and dark berry aromas with a cherry and blackberry on the plate. The Limited Edition Vintage Ink Merlot is available at LCBOs across Canada starting from August 5th for $17.95. For more info, visit vintageinkwines.ca.
