Pulse

For the tight-knit group of doctors in Pulse, Netflix’s first-ever English-language medical procedural, saving their patients’ lives is often less complicated than living their own. As a hurricane barrels towards their hospital, Dr. Danny Simms (Willa Fitzgerald) must find a way to work with Chief Resident Dr. Xander Phillips (Colin Woodell), even as the complicated details of their relationship are revealed. Under the pressure of life-or-death stakes, the whole ER is left to process the fallout.

The Handmaid’s Tale: Season 6

The final season of the Emmy-winning series The Handmaid’s Tale, based on Margaret Atwood’s bestselling dystopian novel, is finally coming to screens this April. Season 6 will see a determined June (Elisabeth Moss) pulled back into the fight to take down Gilead, while Luke (O-T Fagbenle) and Moira (Samira Wiley) join the resistance and Serena (Yvonne Strahovski) tries to reform Gilead.  Hope, courage, solidarity, and resilience define this final chapter of June’s journey.

Hacks: Season 4

Hacks returns for its fourth season this month, diving deeper into the dynamic between the comedic duo at its core. In Season 4 of the Emmy award-winning comedy series, tensions rise as Deborah (Jean Smart) and Ava (Hannah Einbinder) endeavor to get their late night show off the ground—and make history doing it.

North of North

Filmed in and around Iqaluit, this Arctic comedy series tells the story of a young Inuk woman reinventing herself in her tiny northern community. After a public exit from her marriage, Siaja (Anna Lambe) sets out to find herself, navigating complicated relationships, her new career, and motherhood in a town where everyone knows her business.

Drop

Drop is a blood-chilling, fast-paced thriller about a first date turned deadly. Emmy nominee Meghann Fahy stars as Violet, a widowed mother on her first date in years. Violet is pleasantly surprised by her date, Henry, but their chemistry soon begins to curdle when an unseen, unnamed troll starts to terrorize her with a series of anonymous drops to her phone—escalating from annoying to homicidal.

The Courageous

In Jasmin Gordon’s debut feature The Courageous, an eccentric mother of three risks everything, battling her inner demons while fighting to secure a future for her children. This poignant film is an intimate portrait of the complexities of motherhood, societal expectations, and morality.

On Swift Horses

This sweeping 1950s romantic drama first premiered at TIFF 2024. On Swift Horses is an adaptation of Shannon Pufahl’s 2019 novel, with a stacked cast including Daisy Edgar-Jones, Jacob Elordi, Will Poulter, Diego Calva, and Sasha Calle. Muriel is set to begin a new life with her husband Lee, but everything is upended when his brother Julius arrives. Soon, a dangerous love triangle forms—propelling Muriel into a secret life, gambling on racehorses and pursuing a new love interest.

The Shrouds

In David Cronenberg’s latest, a revolutionary and controversial technology allows the living to monitor their departed loved ones in their graves. Karsh, the inventor, still grieving the loss of his wife, is determined to track down the perpetrators when several graves are desecrated. Vincent Cassel, Diane Kruger, Guy Pearce, and Sandrine Holt star in this body horror from the legendary Canadian filmmaker.

A new docu-reality series from TikTok influencer Spencer Barbosa is set to release this month! Flawed is all about body positivity, self-love, and learning to embrace your flaws. Barbosa will host the series alongside special guests as they share their stories and participate in a “makeunder” and self-love photoshoot.
