Ahhh what to do, what to do? The party is over, the hangover confronted and dealt with tenderly, the remnants of the once-hilarious vodka shower wiped off the wall and the washing-up successfully ignored – only the empties remain. There’s something rather aesthetically pleasing about Pabst. Hmm hmm hmm, even with a number of them obliterated from the night before, a smattering of brain cells dream up a plan – let us create something from nothing. Let us coax stems and leaves and blooms from the tools of our penchant for tomfoolery.
A few ideas and how-tos:
Obviously the basics are as follows: Consume contents, enjoy, recuperate, fill empty with dirt (make sure there is some form of drainage) and plant seeds. Water as needed, Google care instructions specific to your bloom of choice.
You can try growing the plants right outta the can or Tetrapak, but chances are the mouthpiece will be too small. An exacto knife will take care of this.
Try looking for cheeky ideas and plays on words – match up leaf and liquor, co-ordinate colours, etc. Mix tall cans and short for a cute effect.
Try looping a bit of twine around your vessel of choice and making your own Babylon. Must look very cool from the window.
Happy plantin’, folks!
