FASHION – Romeo and Juliet’s Boutique (Cambie between 18th and 19th) is having a summer shopping party on Thursday from 7-10. Complimentary champagne, appetizers, door prizes (3 pairs of J BRAND jeans) and goodie bags will be provided. There will be live mannequins- and I will be the girl trying to make them blink.

MUSIC- All summer, Downtown Granville Street has been hosting events between Smithe and Hastings for the ‘Rediscover Granville’ initiative. This Friday around 20 Buskers will be performing at the concert on the new artificial “green carpet” that has been placed on Granville Street between West Georgia and Robson Street. FESTIVALS- Indonesia Day will be celebrated at the Scandinavian Community Centre (6540 Thomas St. Burnaby B.C) from 10 am – 4 pm. It will include a food bazaar, music, traditional dance performances, booths with unique designs and textiles, art— Oh, and did I mention the food bazaar?

ART- Again this summer, Britannia Community Centre will host an outdoor, visual arts market in Napier Square (Napier St @ Commercial Drive) featuring the work of local artists, live music, artist workshops, demonstrations, special events and more.
