TWISTED is a modern-day reimagining of the Dickens classic, Oliver Twist. In it, Ollie & Nancy are trying to survive the gritty streets of Toronto. Ollie has been in and out of foster homes and Nancy suffers from a loveless childhood, but they find love in each other.
This adaptation is a 21st Century love story committed to exposing social injustice. Like the work of Dickens from 200 years ago, TWISTED gives voice to the unheard, represents the fringes of society, and reveals the true cost of love. TWISTED stars Susanna Fournier (X-MEN: Days of Future Past, Rookie Blue, Murdoch Mysteries) and Ngabo Nabea, in his first professional performance in Canada.
Show opens tonight at Factory Theatre (125 Bathurst Street – at Adelaide) and runs to February 22. Tickets and can be purchased here or by calling 416.504.9971
