Looking for something a little different this week?
Quebec’s Les 7 Doigts de la Main are coming to Toronto this week with their stunning show Triptyque. If you’re into cutting-edge choreography and a minimalist circus aesthetic (think a pared-down Cirque de Soleil), do not miss this show.
Formed by seven former Cirque de Soleil performers, Les 7 Doigts de la Main have performed critically acclaimed shows around the world (most recently clinching the Grand Prix du Conseil des arts de Montréal). In this show, you’ll witness defying feats of athleticism, the lyricism of contemporary dance and the poetics of the imagination.
It’s a nice entry point to contemporary dance that also combines the awe-inspiring aspects of circus; an all-around great way to spend an evening! Triptyque runs November 15th to 19th at Bluma Appel Theatre (27 Front St. E) Get your tickets here.
