On June 14, Indigenous creativity will engulf David Pecaut Square in a large-scale celebratory experience. Featuring over sixty artists who pay tribute to the resilience of Indigenous women and the power of land and water, Tributaries makes space for Indigenous artists and voices.
Curated and produced by Creative Producer Denise Bolduc and Associate Producer Erika A. Iserhoff (in partnership with Native Women in the Arts), the evening also features A Cree Cabaret, feat. Tomson Highway. Tributaries offers a diversity of performances, including spoken word by Dr. Duke Redbird, musical performance by Northern Cree, dance by Laura Grizzlypaws and Norma Araiza, DJ set w/ imagery by Bear Witness and many more.
The 2017 festival runs June 14 to 25. The opening night event is free, but reserve your space to catch the initial indoor performance. From 7 p.m. onwards, Tributaries spills outside for the remainder of the evening. Learn more here.
