etalk reporter Traci Melchor has interviewed the stars all the way from LA to her home and native land. An everywoman, Traci can list acting, writing, and even playing the saxophone among her many talents, so TIFF’s hectic juggling act must come naturally. During the fest, she’ll be in the Joe Fresh Style etalk Celebrity Interview Lounge, interviewing the biggest names at the fest.

How are you preparing for TIFF right now?
I’m spending quality time with my twins Phoenix and Phoebe before the madness starts, red carpet dress fittings at Le Chateau and Champagne & Cupcakes, and trying to schedule sessions with my trainer Christian Alvarez to ensure those fabulous dresses are going to fit!

During TIFF, where would we most likely find you at 2PM? At 2AM?
At 2pm, I’m at the Joe Fresh Syle® etalk Celebrity Interview Lounge at the Intercontinental Hotel interviewing celebs and shooting links for etalk. At 2am, I’m most likely at Amber (even though I should be in bed).

What’s your celebrity story, or moment, that gets rehashed most at dinner parties?
When I interviewed Maya Angelou for her directing feature debut Down in the Delta, I was so moved by her presence that I broke out into the “ugly cry”. When I apologized for it she eloquently replied, “You honour me with your tears.” I still well up thinking about that moment.

What are three things you need to survive during TIFF?
1) My beauty squad headed up by Asha, Zak and Lynne at Jazma Hair Inc. for hair and makeup.
2) Emergen-C Vitamin-C packs
3) And the amazing team I work with at etalk. They’re truly the wind beneath my TIFF wings!

What film are you looking forward to most this year?
Blue Valentine starring Ryan Gosling and Black Swan starring Natalie Portman

What party are you most excited about this year?
The Grey Goose/Soho House party

If you could pick the brain of one filmmaker, who would it be?
Martin Scorsese

If you could grab a drink with one celeb who is attending TIFF this year, who would you choose?
James Franco (for obvious reasons).

What’s the first thing you’ll do once TIFF is over?
Hug Phoenix and Phoebe then put on my eye mask and ear plugs and go to sleep.
