Lavender Wild is making a comeback this month! With a dazzling lineup of 2SLGBTQI+ artists, DJs, and drag performers, Toronto’s queer music festival will return for its highly-anticipated second year on August 24 at HISTORY.

Slayyyter is headlining the festival this year, Rebecca Black will be performing a DJ set, and audiences can look forward to fierce performances from Canadian drag artists Makayla Couture, Naomi Leone, and Alexandher Brandy. ‘It Girl’ singer Aliyah’s Interlude, viral sensation Ari Hicks, and Toronto-based DJ Third Eye will also be taking the stage at the festival later this month.

Beyond this killer artist lineup, Lavender Wild is all about creating a safe and inclusive space for queer fans of all ages to celebrate together. Ticket-holders can take part in a day full of community-focused activations, including bracelet-making stations and a market of queer-owned vendors. If that isn’t enough…dressing up is encouraged! Lavender/black attire is this year’s theme, and glitter and floral are also welcome.

We also love that a portion of ticket sales will be going towards The Get Real Movement, a Canadian non-profit that works to combat 2SLGBTQI+ discrimination in schools, as well as Glad Day Bookshop, the world’s oldest queer bookstore that is currently facing eviction

Alex Simpson, a festival manager at Live Nation, founded Lavender Wild in 2023. The festival kicked off Pride Month in the city at Echo Beach with a stacked lineup of local and international queer artists, including Girl in Red, Hayley Kiyoko, Daya, The Aces, and G Flip.

Simpson told the Toronto Star: “The idea came to me when I was at a queer concert and I realized it was more than just a concert. It was this deeply impactful event where my community was gathering to celebrate music we all love. I was like, ‘Why is there not something like this on a grander scale?’”

We’re so thrilled to see this event returning for another year! It’s shaping up to be an all-out, end-of-summer dance party full of queer joy. Don’t miss out.

Tickets for Lavender Wild are on sale now.
