Victoria’s Secret’s Chief Marketing Officer Ed Razek recently explained to Vogue why plus-sized and transgender models are not included in their annual fashion show: “We market who we sell to, and we don’t market to the whole world.”
Apparently, marketing to the narrow tastes of a seventy-year-old white man is more their thing.
In response, Toronto photographer Briony Douglas has shot a gorgeous editorial spread that celebrates a much broader range of beautiful people. “No one will dictate to us our sensuality, love and choice,” says Douglas. “Body Positivity is about finding beauty in ALL people, treating others with respect and kindness. This is not us vs. them. This is all of us. Everyone deserves to be an angel in their own way, and we need to share that message with every man and woman out there.”
