We at Shedoesthecity are fierce Toronto Public Library supporters. From the phenomenal Appel Salon programs, to over 170+ various book clubs to join, to borrowing a hot new read, we use Toronto library a lot, but #ImLibraryPeople is more than that, it’s about aligning with the TPL’s values, and what the system stands for.

#ImLibraryPeople is an opportunity for the city to rally together and show our love, and pride, for the TPL. October 3 also marks the official kick off for Canada Library Month, also coincides with a big push to raise funds for a new Bookmobile for Toronto.

Promote our Bookmobile Community Campaign

Our library on wheels visits under-served Toronto communities such as family shelters, community centres, apartment complexes and ensures everyone in the city has access to vital TPL programs and services. Let’s buy a new Bookmobile for Toronto! Campaign runs October 1-31. 

Grab Your Coffee at Balzac’s

When you purchase a prepared coffee drink at any Balzac’s Cafe in Toronto on October 3, $1.00 will be donated to the Toronto Public Library Foundation’s Bookmobile Community Campaign. Be sure to tag #ImLibraryPeople + @balzacscoffee. (Excludes UP Express and Billy Bishop locations.)
