Livelihood Infrastructure Food Education For Health (L.I.F.E. For Health) hosts this fundraiser in support of the earthquake survivors and the province of Bohol. All funds raised will go towards helping Boholanos rebuild and recover from this catastrophe. 4 pm Night of Dread 2013 @ Dufferin Grove Park, 875 Dufferin St. The 14th annual Night of Dread will parade our private and collective fears through the darkened streets of Toronto. Join Clay & Paper Theatre for an evening of ceremonial festivities that allow us to call on, mock, and banish the fears that unite and divide us in these times. All your fears are welcome to attend and be banished! Come and dance in the streets with our city’s finest musicians, puppeteers, dancers, and stilt walkers. Parade returns to park at 7:30 pm. Dress code: black and white and dreadful. PWYC ($10 suggested).

6 pm Ghost Hole V @ Artscape Gibraltar Point (Toronto Island), 443 Lakeshore Ave. On October 26th, when the sun begins to fade… a Ghost Ship will make it’s way to the shores of Gibraltar… guided by the glow of the old light house… and the doors of the old island public school will open… but only for those brave enough to enter. Ghost Hole is an annual not-for-profit Halloween Haunted Artshow that has taken place in various strange and spooky locations around downtown Toronto. This year is the second installment at Artscape Gibraltar Point Toronto Island, at the old (and supposedly haunted) public school. 9 pm The 9th Annual Monster Mash: Chronologic Edition @ Lee’s Palace, 529 Bloor St. W. This year’s Monster Mash will be bigger, better, and scarier than ever! Featuring pop and antipop from since the end of history (i.e. music from 1890 to 2013, played in chronological order). The Goin’ Steady DJs will be working with Toronto designer Adam Belanger (Cronenberg Evolution / Young Lions Music Club) to transform Lee’s into a frightening array of spooky mayhem. $10 in advance, $15 at the door.

10 pm Slaughterhaus @ 99 Sudbury, 99 Sudbury St. Breakandenter x Mansion present a blood soaked, industrial Halloween horror show with Berghain resident Marcel Fengler alongside a diverse selection of Toronto talent. They’ll be transforming 99 Sudbury’s Gallery into an immersive multi-room A/V labyrinth of tortured techno, hallowed house, and dark disco, with a delicious pig roast just outdoors (vegetarian option available). $25 advance and $30 regular tickets available online.
