Looking for something to do tonight? Still riding a slight Valentine’s buzz? Totally over Valentine’s but always up for a tale of urban adolescent ennui? Why not head to Double Double Land, where local production company MDFF and cléo, a journal of film and feminism, are presenting the Toronto premiere of filmmaker Eliza Hittman’s debut feature, It Felt Like Love.

The film tells the story of Lila, a bored, 14 year-old Brooklynite desperate to lose her virginity before summer ends. Lauded at Sundance and other festivals on the American indie circuit, this film captures the sweaty, horny angst of summer, something I think we’re all looking forward to in the middle of a dank February, right?? There will be an introduction before the screening by cléo’s Managing Editor Julia Cooper. Things kick off at 8pm at Double Double Land (209 Augusta Ave). It is absolutely F-R-E-E! For more information see the Facebook event.
