Like so many others, we were devastated when we got the news that Amy Winehouse had passed away at the young age of 27. From her signature beehive to those soulful pipes, the girl was incredibly talented and unique, and, unfortunately, a stark reminder of the consequences of addiction. Needless to say, we’ve had Back To Black on repeat for the past week or so and will be making our way to Church Street this Saturday for the ultimate Winehouse tribute party.

Matt Sim’s weekly gig There Goes The Neighborhood will be paying tribute to the singer with a night dedicated to everything Winehouse. Remixes, music videos and an Amy-inspired performance by Heroine Marks – we can’t wait! Party begins at 10 pm at The Barn (418 Church St.) and entry is free before midnight.
