The Bi Arts Festival, now in its third year, is the world’s largest celebration of bisexual voices in art and culture. For a group that often gets set aside or dismissed altogether, this is a big deal. This year’s fest boasts a supreme lineup of workshops, author showcases, storytelling, zine launches and even an bi arts + crafts fair!
We’re especially curious to experience the Human Library (where you can “sign out” a real person for one-to-one conversation), the Love Letters to Baby Bis – Free Filmmaking Workshop (using your camera phone), the Speed Friending Sesh (fun!), and the Shapeshifters exhibit at Beaver Hall Gallery (29 McCaul), featuring work by Bert Whitecrow, Fallon Simard, Jacqueline Pelland + more.
Whether you’re bi, bi-curious, pan, poly or whatever floats your boat, you should come! The Bi Arts Festival takes place September 19-23 at various spots around town. Find the whole schedule of events here (bonus: many events are free or PWYC).
