Last year, we loved wandering around the Stop’s Night Market. Lights were strung up against the twilit sky, the smell of food filled the air, and smiles plastered every face as chefs served up delicacies from creatively-designed food carts.
Those carts were thanks to top designers who created one-of-a-kind serving stations for the event. The Night Market raised over $57 000 for The Stop’s community food programs. If you’re not familiar with The Stop, it’s an amazing Community Food Centre that believes in the power of food to bring people together, operating respectful and educational food programming to help eradicate hunger.
This year, they’re looking for artists to help them design the food carts. The deadline is this Sunday, March 3rd, but if you’re a designer with a passion for food justice, then you should get a proposal together and send it in! You can find all the info by visiting the Designers portion of the Night Market site. The designers whose proposals are selected will be teamed up with a chef to create something truly memorable. Find more info on how to send in your proposal here, and check out some of last year’s carts below!
