Weddings can easily cost upwards of $30,000, but The Freedom Factory, a zero-commission art gallery located in the heart of Toronto’s Queen West neighbourhood, wants to change that.

They have started offering their space to host micro weddings, promising “all of the glamour and passion of the fairy tale wedding without  the stress or prohibitive cost.”

Booking weddings in 3-hour time slots, The Gallery is able to package your matrimonial event for a cool $3000, so—as they say, you can “invest in your marriage and not your wedding day”.

Here’s what you get when you book a Freedom Factory 3K Micro Wedding:

  • A gorgeous space: The Freedom Factory Art gallery is curated with the art from local Toronto artists to compliment the celebration of love and commitment.

  • The gallery is decorated with custom designed alter/backdrop and accessories to evoke a romantic setting.

  • Personalized nuptials with an officiant  (legal and/or commitment ceremonies available)

  • Digital invitations for 30 guests  (larger guest list numbers optional for additional charge)

  • Sparkling Wine for toast for each guest

  • Live musical performance during the ceremony hour and DJ during the reception

  • Two hour cocktail reception with passed canapés and cash bar (consumption bar and food stations available)

  • Professional Photographer providing digital copies of the three hour event

  • Wedding cake

  • Wedding Favours

  • Bartender, servers, host, coat check

If you want some extras, they offer upgrades, including:

  • Custom Photo Booth

  • Larger guest count

  • Consumption Bar

  • Fromager/Sommelier Services

  • Candy Bar/Food Stations

  • Customized Wedding Favours

We think this is a smart, fun, and easy way to do a wedding. The added bonus is that when you have your host an event at The Freedom Factory, you are actively supporting the work of Toronto artists.
