Ten is the universal symbol of completion.
Lifting from this notion, TEN (choreographed by José Agudo along with Gail Parmel and Ian Parmel) explores humanity’s universal yearning to find our roots. This powerful work reflects what it’s like to leave where you came from – conjuring poignant and passionate stories about exodus, home and belonging.
Using elements of contemporary dance and flamenco, six dancers will take to the stage and shift your perception on how heritage evolves. Music composition by Giuliano Modarelli layers emotive tribal vocals and a haunting guitar melody into the soundscape.
TEN runs Friday February 10 and Saturday February 11 for three shows only at Harbourfront Centre’s Fleck Dance Theatre (207 Queens Quay W). Get your tickets here.
