Art Spin tours are bicycle-led tours of art in Toronto. A tour features commissioned multi-disciplinary works, ranging from art performances to site-specific installations, as well as visits to galleries (commercial, artist run & public) and to artists’ studios. At this year’s kickoff event, join Art Spin for a cycle along the waterfront.
You’ll see new works by Jenn Goodwin and Thom Sokoloski, along with a co-presentation with Myseum Toronto that has three artists collaborating for the very first time: Driftnote, Francesca Chudnoff, and Aria Evans. In addition to these new works, artist and urban geographer Daniel Rotsztain will be tagging along in Art Spin’s roving Rickshaw Residency.
Grab your bike and meet at the north High Park Entrance (1873 Bloor St. – just south of the main gates) at 6:30pm to check in and get your wristband. Tour leaves at 7pm sharp and lasts until around 9:30pm (at which point you’ll arrive at the after party). If you want to skip all the art programming and just wear out your dancing shoes, the after party is free! Join in after 10pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 344 (1395 Lakeshore Blvd. West) for drinks, dancing, and an amazing view of the water from their spectacular lakeside patio. Music will be provided by CDR and DJ General Eclectic.
