For those who frequent the Dundas and Ossington area in search of the best vintage shopping, they know not to skip out on Rescue Vintage. Nestled into a small but bright and airy shop on Ossington (102 Ossington to be exact), owner Renee Kaylor brings together classic vintage style with new contemporary lines like Toronto-based Jenny Bird for jewellery and New York-based Pinkyotto for clothing. Rescue works hard to make sure the pieces hanging in the space are exclusive finds: a vintage lover’s dream come true.Take the look Kaylor styled for us that features a 1990s Miu Miu slip dress (!!!)—you’re not going to find that just anywhere.
Kaylor combined her keen eye for mixing vintage with contemporary and created a look she titled “French Country Voyage,” which was modeled by her friend Chealse Howell; another pal, Emily Anne Helsdon, did Howell’s makeup. Yay for friendship! So pack up your bag and hit the road to Rescue Vintage—your wardrobe will thank you later.
