It’s a well-known fact that most new hires are determined within the first few minutes of a job interview. Another certainty is this: those who get paid more money in the workforce know how to ask for it. So, how do you ensure that your first impression is impactful? How do you estimate your worth? And what are the best ways to negotiate for yourself?
These game-changing questions will be explored at Pioneering Women‘s upcoming professional development event, Stand Up: The Art of Presenting Yourself & Negotiating Your Way to the Top.
For the past five years, Shedoesthecity has partnered with Pioneering Women as a media sponsor for their annual events, and this year our Editor-in-Chief, Jen McNeely, will be acting as host for the evening to introduce powerhouse speakers Anne Fitzgerald (Chief Legal Officer of Cineplex, Inc.) and Teri Hart (Reporter and Senior Producer at Rogers). We can’t wait to learn from Anne and Teri; following the presentations, Jen will turn questions over to the audience for a conversational Q&A.
While Pioneering Women is an organization founded to support females working in Canada’s motion picture industry, their annual event is open to all Toronto women who work in arts, culture and beyond!
Tickets are $20 for Pioneer members and $25 for non-members and can be purchased here.
This event takes place Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Scotiabank Theater Toronto (259 Richmond St. W.) at 7:00pm. Following the presentation, guests are encouraged to stay for a cocktail reception in the Cineplex Club Room.
