The hottest art party of the year is coming up fast! First Thursday: A Soul Revolution will kick off the Mickalene Thomas: Femmes Noir exhibit on December 6 with a party guest-curated by members of AfroChic.
Drawing inspo from the Thomas exhibit, A SOUL Revolution will showcase the work of four Black Toronto artists: Kofi Frempong, Melissa Falconer, Reynold Thomas and Cazhhmere. Come for the art and stay for the modern-day Soul Train-inspired dance party, hosted by Canadian fashion model Stacey McKenzie.
Sharing the stage will be DJ Steph Honey and Dominique Grant who will take us back to the era. Additional sounds will be provided by DJ Elle leading up to DJ Dre Ngozi, who will close out the evening with a fire trap and Afrobeats set.
