No human being is illegal. No human being is illegal. No human being is illegal.
Separating children from their family is genocide. The children will suffer lifelong trauma. Trauma leads to mental illness and addiction. There is no humane way to justify the deplorable and evil actions happening not only in America but also in Canada.
Show up, speak up, and let it be known that separating families is dreadful, unforgivable, and will only have negative consequences–for all.
Families Belong Together Rally
Saturday, June 30
10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
US Consulate Toronto (360 University Avenue)
A statement from the organizers:
“We are here to support ALL children’s rights and put a demand on the United States to end the separation of children from their families at the border.* Canada needs to speak out and make a clear statement that such egregious human rights violations will not be tolerated.
Our hope is that taking the steps to bring wide attention to this issue and pressuring our own Country for policy change to right all of the wrongs here at home. From Indigenous children to the detention of children in our own country.
If you agree that families belong together and that this act of child abuse needs to end immediately, come out and show your support and let’s send a loud message to Justin Trudeau to condemn this policy and move to change our own.
We are coming together on behalf of the children who don’t have a voice. Show what it means to be a human being and show your compassion for all those who have clearly lost their humanity.”
