Get that swishy skirt out: Dancing on the Pier is back for its fourth year of hot live bands, inspiring dance instructors and, to be honest, one of the best alternatives to boring old “dinner and a movie” date night we can think of.
Tomorrow night dancers will be trying their hand at salsa, to the sounds of Luis Obegoso’s Moda Eterna, inspired by the hardcore salsa of New York from the ’70s and ’80s. Teachers and students from C.U. Dance give you something to look at and aspire to.
Salsa not your thing? Dancing on the Pier runs weekly until September 4, and features different musical artists each week. Try swing dancing, swaying to Colombian jazz, or blow everyone’s mind with that move you invented in high school. Is the Harbourfront ready for “The Disco Ninja”??
