As a woman who walks the city daily, I know all too well that a stylish pair of shoes that pinch, rub and have me yelping, “ow-ow” every second step is just, well, useless. I never considered Naturalizer as a shoe for me, as assumed its orthopedic priorities would result in a lack luster shoe. Sometimes I’m really quite wrong in my assumptions.
After browsing the Naturalizer site I was pleasantly surprised to find many pairs that caught my attention and I began making a list of ‘wants’. Sweet kitten heels, classic flats, trendy wedges and cute espadrilles; there is a terrific variety of styles and it’s satisfying to know that walking will be enhanced versus hindered. But it is the upcoming shopping fundraiser that gives an even deeper meaning to ‘feel good’ footwear.
In April, Naturalizer kicks off its successful bi-annual shopping fundraiser that donates $1 for every shoe or handbag sold between April 7 and April 11 to a charity voted by you! This year, the three charities selected to vote on are The Boys and Girls Club, World Wildlife Fund and Water-Can.
All worthy charities indeed, Shedoesthecity is proud to partner with and throw our support behind The Boys and Girls Club. We will be helping to cheer them on during voting while also raising awareness for this organization that has been earnestly helping children reach their full potential as caring, productive and responsible citizens for over 150 years.
Stay tuned for more information on voting and get excited about spring shoes that will have you looking stylish as you explore all that your culturally vibrant city has to offer.
