Are you an artist/designer with a studio in chaos? Maybe you need to offload some stuff and get inspired by new-to-you pieces?
This Saturday from 1 to 8 pm, Raw Finery Studio (555 Richmond St W) is hosting their first ever sewing, fashion, and textile swap at their new studio. Raw Finery is a hybrid fashion lab and community co-work studio that supports creative endeavours, innovation and industry relationships. If you’ve got some material that’s in good condition (clean, free of dust or pet hair, not moldy or musty, etc.) bring it in for the swap.
If you’ve got fabric to swap, it should be at least 1 meter, and anything else should be separated as scrap. Notion (beads, buttons, trims) should ideally be sorted. Clothing/fashion samples/accessories are fine, but not the focus of the swap. Larger items should be arranged to be dropped ahead of time with Raw Finery. Leftovers will be donated to SKETCH or designated as community supplies for everyone who uses the studio.
