Want to expand your skill repertoire and create beautiful, wearable art?
The Setsuné Indigenous Fashion Incubator is all about research, development and creation of works in fashion, textiles and wearable art in order to promote understanding of Indigenous knowledge, Indigenous tradition and Indigenous and mainstream artistic techniques. Now you can check out their summer workshop series and learn techniques in Hide Tanning, Indigo Dyeing, Porcupine Roach Headdress Making and Fish Scale Art. At each workshop, a full lunch and childcare will be provided.
Workshops are open to everyone to build understanding of Indigenous culture and traditions and to encourage strong partnerships. Indigenous women and mothers (16-35) are provided priority access to the workshop series, and full sponsorships as available to them. For complete listings and to register, visit here.
