We’re pretty excited about Obvious Child. Jenny Slate has been a shero of ours since the earliest Bestie x Bestie days, and we’re suckers for a good rom com. This has both! Throw in Gabby Hoffman and a light sprinkling of Women’s Issues and we’re basically on the brink of collapse. Which is why we’re so excited to share with you this exclusive clip from the new film which opens at the Varsity this FRIDAY, June 20th!

In Obvious Child, Slate plays Donna Stern, a comedian in her late 20s who mines her personal life for jokes. When her boyfriend breaks up with her she has a bit of a classic Fall Apart and ends up going home with living Christmas Tree Max. Then, she gets pregnant. Later, she gets an abortion. But what happens in between and after is where the real magic happens. Check it out below:
