How has it been 11 years? We still remember the very first Fashion Art Toronto event, and walking home in the dark (not the best call, we know that now) totally wired and inspired by what we had just seen.

The only event of its kind and calibre in Toronto, Fashion Art Toronto has grown into a spectacular 5-day celebration of avant-garde fashion, provocative art, and multi-disciplinary artists. From fashion shows and films to photography exhibits, art installations and performances, you’re going to want to clear your calendar from April 12th to 16th because this year’s [FAT] lineup will BLOW YOUR MIND!

Opening night is going to be EPIC! Expect a jaw-dropping burlesque performance from Pastel Supernova, a scandalous show from With Love Lingerie, which promises to fuse together religious iconography with vintage-luxe lingerie, and a personal favourite, high fashion latex from House of Etiquette.

Evan Biddell will be taking over TWO runway shows, including an illustrated tribute to David Bowie. (YES, PLEASE.)

Closing off the week will be designer to the stars, Oscar Mendoza, who’s been featured in Vanity Fair and Elle Magazine.

Not to miss, Möbius will be inviting audiences to wear their hearts and minds on their sleeves (LITERALLY!) with a super cool fashion experiment that will transform internet brain signals into colour.
