Tonight Poutini’s, our 2am gravy-curd binge hot spot, will shine on the big screen, once again, at the TIFF screening of Sarah Polley’s Take this Waltz. Last summer, we spent many hours looking out our office window as Seth Rogen whipped by on a Rickshaw and we are excited to see the result of this bittersweet love story that also stars academy nominee Michelle Williams and foul mouthed Sarah Silverman.

Poutini’s is raving about the poutine-eating scene while several other scenes were shot at The Lakeview Diner, just north on Ossington. Whether the actors opted for the Vegan Poutine or Teeny Weeny Tiny Poutine, we can’t confirm, but we are happy to be able to marry “cheese curd” and “red carpet” in the same sentence without it being used to describe a horrible outfit. It’s nice to see a homegrown flick incorporate our Canadian gourmet specialty. Squeaky squeak goes the cheese! Okay, hungry now.
