If you still think we can ignore the looming climate crisis, The Planet in Focus Film Festival should be required viewing.
The festival, happening now through October 20th, combines documentary screenings, a forum focused on climate change, transportation and the global food industry, field trips to the AGO and a special climate showcase featuring films like The Hottest August, Losing Alaska, Crooked: Survival By Zip Code and Mother of the Forest. We are especially looking forward to learning from Melina Laboucan-Massimo (advocate for Indigenous rights and environmental justice), and water warrior Autumn Peltier, who will both be named Eco-Heroes at a special awards event this Friday at Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema.
This festival will be an eye-opener, and more importantly, a push toward change. Find full schedule and get your tickets here.
