Golden Girls and comfort food sound like a match made in heaven.

Join Mikiki, Toronto’s aging-outest drag queen, this Sunday, February 4th, 6-10 p.m. as she hosts Rose Beef: Dinner with the Girls at Glad Day Bookshop (499 Church St.). The evening will feature a curated food menu and Golden Girls-themed drink specials accompanied by eight episodes of the beloved ’80s sitcom and featured books from the Glad Day archive relating to the themes, or time of the season.

Each episode will be followed by a quiz (with prizes!). There will also be a talk-back after the mini-marathon to discuss whether there’s any relevance to the Girls’ parables from the eight episodes in our post-truth cultural moment.
