As you’ve probably noticed in recent years, vinyl is making a serious comeback. Join Myseum of Toronto and Young Offenders this Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. as they celebrate the medium and kick off Music From People City, a city-wide celebration of exhibits, events and experiences that showcase how Toronto got its groove.
Located inside TIFF Bell Lightbox (356 King St. W.), the Myseum x Sonic Boom Pop-up Record Shop features a curated selection of vinyl from Sonic Boom and interactive mixed-media installations by Myseum that provide a full sensory tour of Toronto’s musical history. The opening party will include an all-vinyl DJ set by Humble Mike of Record Collective and refreshments from local brewery Henderson Brewing.
Myseum x Sonic Boom runs until December 14th and is open Wednesday through Sunday from 11 to 7 p.m. A full list of Music From People City events can be found here.
