Is Kendrick Lamar the best rapper out right now? Is the Kardashian influence a positive, negative, or neutral one for Kanye? Is it fair to ask rappers to be role models? These topics and more will be on the docket for the first ever Boosie Fade Debate Club.
Boosie Fade: The Group has become a popular place online to discuss issues that matter to hip-hop and R&B fans, but this Thursday, April 5th at the Drake Underground (1150 Queen St. W.), Jordan Sowunmi and DJ Yung Adult (who also throw dance parties under the same names) will be bringing the URL to the IRL.
Marito Lopez (comedian), Sydney Allen-Ash (podcast host), Dalton Higgins (journalist and PR strategist) and Lauren Mitchell (comedian and podcast host) will be tasked with debating a litany of questions related to modern hip-hop and R&B while the audience will have an opportunity to ask questions and provide answers.
Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the debate runs 8-10 p.m. Tickets are $10 plus tax in advance and are expected to sell out, with a limited number available at the door.
