For several years, we’ve been attending SickKids Scrubs In The City. It’s one of our top five favourite annual fundraisers, and one that always goes full-tilt with a theme. Beyond the delectable fare and entertainment, this event is a wonderful way for Torontonians to give back to The Hospital for Sick Children, and this year guests raised a total of $650,000.
Designed around the theme of a Marrakech night market, we could have predicted the Moroccan mint tea tent and beautiful belly dancers. But we didn’t expect to bump into two camels, minutes after parking our car. (A completely thrilling moment that we will never forget.)
With Toronto’s top fashion-forward philanthropists sitting on the committee, including co-chairs Molly Fitzpatrick and Lucinda Kogan, and glitterati like Sylvia Mantella, Holly Miklas, Suzanne Rogers, it’s no wonder this party is so extravagant. They do a fantastic job at creating an unforgettable affair, that gives back generously to our city’s most valued institution.
