If you were one of the tens of thousands to attend FAN EXPO Canada this past weekend, you know how epic the event is. It’s the BIGGEST gathering of fans in Canada, and the second largest event of its kind in North America. The scale of it is impressive, but what we love is the passion of the fans.
Highlights this year included a reunion of the four hobbits from The Lord of the Rings, a meet and greet with Jay and Silent Bob (Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith), Friday night with the Kids In The Hall, and fans coming out in droves to meet several cast members of Stranger Things.
If you were seeking a wand or a light saber, there were over 400,000 sq feet of fandom finds from 400+ retailers! We enjoyed wandering the beloved Artist Alley, and hitting up the Family Zone, where kids could test out a Nimbus 2000 broomstick and join the hat sorting ceremony. But perhaps the best part of FAN EXPO Canada is taking in the looks of the wide variety of professional cosplay artists as well as everyday enthusiasts who simply love to dress up.
