This past weekend, two Toronto party powerhouses came together for a legendary bash that benefited the 519 Church Street Community Centre. Dudebox and Yes Yes Y’all both have their own solid crowds, tunes and vibes. We’re no stranger to Dudebox’s epic ragers for charity, including a Hallowe’en party last year in a grimy car wash. YYY has been throwing the sweatiest queer dancehall and hip hop jams for years. Take a little sample listen here.
Dudebox and Yes Yes Y’all came together like PB&J and I’m sure the dance floor has the battle wounds to prove it. You were warned—show up early or don’t get in, and the lineup snaking around the block by 11pm proved it. Just might mean more Dudebox x YYY parties have to happen, amiright?! All together the event raised a fantastic $3786.98 for The 519. Dutty wining for a cause, what could be better?
