What is Field Trip, you ask? Field Trip is a two-day music festival held on the grounds of the Fort York National Historic Site in downtown Toronto and hosted by Canadian record label, Arts & Crafts. Last weekend, Field Trip celebrated its third year and was jam-packed with multiple stages, boasting the talents of indie rock and tons of international talent.
This year’s lineup included Alabama Shakes, My Morning Jacket, Marina & The Diamonds, The War On Drugs, Father John Misty, Arkells, Purity Ring, Rhye, De La Soul, Lee Fields & The Expressions, Temples, Pixies and many more.
Field Trip is not just known for its incredible music though! Attendees could also check out art installations, comedy performances and virtual reality demonstrations. (Arts & Crafts sure knows how to put on a great show!)
Field Trip also works to bring a community and family-friend feel to the festival. Kids were welcome and were even provided their own activities including a stage, bouncy castles, crafts and hula hoops. Some of this year’s lineup included family-friendly favourites such as Toronto children’s music pioneers Sharon & Bram and From Jamaica To Toronto.
