This past Sunday, dogs and dog lovers gathered at PawsWay for the first of four Walking Woof Workouts. Led by our Editor-in-Chief Jen McNeely, this first walk was family friendly, which all walks will be, but Jen designed this one specifically to accommodate little ones.
Starting at PawsWay, the motley crew of adults, babies and pups walked west along the waterfront. We checked out the beach, the tall ships, took a tour through the beautifully landscaped Music Gardens and finished our trek at Little Norway Park, nestled behind Billy Bishop Airport. Our pals from Save Our Scruff dog rescue also joined the walk, bringing with them some dogs under their care so that guests without pets could have the opportunity to try their hand at walking a dog and talk to adoption experts about the responibilities that come with pet ownership.
Following our Walking Woof Workout, guests were invited to grab a coffee at the pet-friendly cafe in PawsWay, take a peek at the Poodle grooming competition that was happening at the back of the venue, and peruse the all the wonderfully displayed resources and fun facts about pets.
It was a terrific way to spend a Sunday morning and we can’t wait to return to check out the next three walks.
