We went to the biggest, gayest, pinkest bash of the year: Pinky’s Nails Big Gay Bash pride event. The party, which doubled as the studio’s one-year anniversary, took place last Friday at the Gladstone Hotel.
Pre-party, Pinky’s artists styled our nails to the nines, colouring us just right for a weekend romp at Toronto Pride. The crowd was colourful and fabulous, showing off their gorgeous nails and posing with a giant Hello Kitty balloon. The party also featured an all-star performance line-up, including famed New York drag super queen Jiggly Caliente and Toronto’s own Cassandra Moore. When the late hours rolled around, we got down on the dance floor with our favourite nail artistes.
We look forward to more events hosted by Pinky’s Nails, and are sure that next year’s anniversary and pride celebration will be bigger, prouder, and Pinky-er. We can’t wait.
