Over the past month, a giant art exhibition took over the Markham Museum. The area’s heritage buildings were interpreted by artists as scenes for installations, creating a fascinating conversation between old and new. From a grass maze to mannequin displays to ecological homes, the work tackled a wide range of subject matter, including sexual assault, teenage nostalgia, farming, slaughterhouses, and more.
If you didn’t catch the exhibit, which ended this weekend, you can relive the work through our photo gallery.
Trigger warning: Sexual assault.
