Earlier this month, The Gardiner Museum hosted The G Party, their glittery signature gala fundraiser that also marks the launch of the 12 Trees exhibition. This year, the Museum asked artists to use sustainable materials and create a tree inspired by the theme “Good for the Earth.”
With Nordstrom as the presenting sponsor, it was a stylish evening that paved way for an enchanting five-week exhibition. We think a visit here would make for a very special and out-of-the-ordinary holiday experience.
If you’re in town for the next two weeks, here’s a beautiful plan for consideration: Visit the Gardiner to see both the 12 Trees exhibition and the current exhibition, True Nordic: How Scandinavia Influenced Design in Canada. Following, jump to The Park Hyatt and ride the elevator to the top for drinks in the rooftop bar. Whether you visit during daylight hours or dusk, we promise you a winter wonderland view. Over some hot toddies or slow whiskeys, you can discuss ceramics, green design, or the birds-eye perspective of Toronto before you.
Of course, across the street at the ROM, the Chihuly exhibit will be in its final week (if you’re feeling ambitious).
