This month, enjoy an unforgettable evening in support of 2SLGBTQ+ film and art. On November 21 at East Room, Inside Out will host Outbid, their annual holiday fundraiser and auction. 

With both a silent auction and a highly competitive live auction, guests can bid on items ranging from original art created by local artists to one-of-a-kind experiences—all in support of queer storytelling. Some luxurious items up for auction have already been announced: you could win a Ski & Stay package from Horseshoe Resort, a Hot & Cold class pack from Alter Toronto, or an exclusive offer from Kandl.

For more than three decades, Inside Out has brought together Toronto’s queer community to celebrate films made by and about 2SLGBTQ+ people of all ages, races and abilities. Their annual film festival in Toronto spotlights the best in queer film from around the world, and is always one of our must-dos for Pride Month. Recent festival favourites include films like My Old Ass, We Forgot to Break Up, A Mother Apart, Something You Said Last Night, and This Place.

In addition to the festival, Inside Out also offers year-round programming that uplifts the queer filmmaking community—from filmmaker initiatives to youth outreach to a range of screenings and events. They challenge attitudes and change lives on the daily, and they need your support to keep going strong.

With infectious energy and overall good vibes, Outbid is all about giving back in style. Dazzling drag queen Minhi Wang will return to host this year’s Outbid event, bringing her uniquely campy charm and uproarious hilarity to keep your spirits up as you bid, dance and celebrate all night long. Rounding out the evening’s entertainment are two stellar DJs from Toronto’s queer community: B. The City and Delicious. 

B. The City is a queer Latin DJ based in Toronto, who thrives in curating events that spotlight queer womxn of colour/non-binary people. Her high-energy, eclectic mixes will most definitely get you out on the dancefloor! Also ready to keep you moving is DJ Delicious, an openly queer & trans DJ from Toronto who has been establishing himself as a dancefloor connaisseur at various events across the city.
