We’re massive fans of #FNLROM – it’s a sure bet to get out, get lit and get cultured on a Friday night. #FNLROM runs at the Royal Ontario Museum every Friday from 7:00 pm to 11:30 pm beginning September 30 until the November 25 2016 finale. It’s an adults-only party with DJs, fantastic food vendors, and choice themes. This year’s lineup is as magical as ever. Here’s what we’re definitely checking out.
September 30: Spark
Explore colour, light and form, with complimentary access to special glass art exhibition CHIHULY. Sean Jones will put you in your happy place by performing soul classics.
October 21: Fashion
Immerse yourself in all things fashion! Meet local designers who draw inspiration from around the world, just like the ROM’s collections. An evening for the senses, this night includes live performances by the gender-bending experimental electronic pop artist Eli Tyler, award-winning multi-instrumentalist Yiannis Kapoulas, and one of Canada’s brightest emerging singer-songwriters Chloe Charles on the mainstage. Arrive early for a screening of Masters of Design: Jewellers of the America’s, free with online RSVP.
October 28: Goosebumps
In our opinion, one of Toronto’s best Halloween parties. Eat, drink and be scary! Explore the weird, wild and wacky from the ROM’s collections. Immerse yourself in the hallucinatory world of Andrew Fox and Visuals, as well as five-piece folk band Olivia and the Creepy Crawlies.
November 4: Country
Saddle up! Whether you prefer cowboy boots or stilettos, you’ll be stomping your feet to the music when #FNLROM brings country to the city. Canadian Country Music will take the ROM stage with performances by Jade Mya and Drake Jensen.
