In May 1969, John Lennon and Yoko Ono sat in Toronto’s King Edward Hotel to discuss their eight-day-long Bed-In for Peace, which took place in Montreal.
In the spirit of that visit, Trinity Bellwoods Park will host a bed-in of its own this Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Programming begins with a beginner-friendly yoga session led by Kate Rowlands, who recently returned home from teaching at Kranti Yoga in India. Live performances run from 1 p.m. onwards and include The Retroaction, Test Their Logik, Renee The Voice, Charmie, Yusuke Hoshi, Giraffe, Khash & Yars, Tamas Pal, Khalel, and Adina Vlasov. There will also been an open art jam and various workshops happening throughout the day (full schedule here).
Admission is free. Make sure to bring a blanket, food, drink, and an open mind!
